Growing up in southside VA, spending time in the outdoors in and  around buckingham county and on the James  & Appomatox rivers, hunting and fishing were his favorite things to do. introduced at an early age to the centuries old tradition of deer hunting with hounds, it has remained his favorite way to pursue whitetails. At the end of the day it was the time spent with family and friends and the memories made that counted, not the size or weight of the game taken. The sweet song of a hot chase on a cool morning still gets his blood flowing faster than anything else, however, the sound of the bait clicker on an Abu Garcia with a big cat fish on the other end is a close second! Moving to Roanoke Rapids, NC at age 15 only intensified his passion for the outdoors. Now residing in Waynesboro VA, fall is spent primarily in the woods of Buckingham Co. VA, and the rest on the waters of the James & Roanoke rivers and Buggs Island & Roanoke Rapids lakes. The focus today is to share and pass on the traditions of the outdoors to his sons, Trip and  Dalton.
