Bill Leggett
Bill grew up hunting and fishing in and around Halifax county, North Carolina. Days spent in the woods and on the water fill his memories as a child and young adult. Spoiled by hunting prime land from the start, Bill has harvested countless deer. Living in close proximity to the Weldon boat access to the Roanoke River made fishing the Striped Bass Spawn run a very convinient task to accomplish. His father Jerry took him under his wing and provided him the skillset needed to be a succesful outdoorsman, from tying hooks to making 400 yard shots count. Bill currently resides in Pikeville, North Carolina which is a mere 50 mile drive back to where it all began. As a member of The United States Air Force, he has not always had the luxury of being able to participate in the tradition as he wished. Now he spends as much time on the Roanoke river, and in the woods of Halifax County as possible. At this point in his life, his desires have shifted to sharing his experience with his youngest son Nicholas, with hopes of his 5 year old daughter and 15 yeaar old son gaining interest when they are ready. Occasionally you will see him on the Roanoke River with his wife. She loves to fish, although Bill has not quite convinced her of that! Bill is Co-Owner of Addiction Outdoors. |
